Montez is the explosive Psytrance project of Edgar Montez, a Portuguese producer and DJ whose signature sound has been making serious waves across the global scene. Known for his powerful fusion of driving basslines, hypnotic melodies, and tough, energetic rhythms, Montez has quickly established himself as a force to be reckoned with—delivering music that electrifies dancefloors and touches souls.

A lifelong music lover, Montez discovered Psychedelic Trance in his teens and never looked back. His deep passion for the genre fuels a relentless creative drive, with a steady flow of original releases and remixes that showcase both technical mastery and emotional depth. Already signed to Altered States Music, Montez has also released on respected labels including Enterrec, Timelapse, Green Tree Records, and has remixed for Free-Spirit Records.

His dynamic and infectious live sets have earned him spots at some of the scene’s most iconic events, including Illuminaughty, Boomtown, and Universo Paralello, where his performances consistently resonate with crowds through raw energy, connection, and presence.

Pushing his artistry even further, Montez has co-created two collaborative projects: Alien Devices (with Pedro Ferreira), which was swiftly picked up by the legendary Y.S.E. Recordings, and Audio Science (with Gonçalo Malloso a.k.a. Overdrive), which has seen releases on Dacru Records and Sculpted Sounds.
